Tutorials for Iowa AEA Online Products
The Iowa AEA Online resources have tutorials within their websites that will help you learn both the basics of the products and the advanced features. Follow the steps below.
AccuWeather
- Login to AccuWeather.
- Click on “Site Information” in the blue menu on the left hand side of the page.
- Click on the “Help” link in the drop down box.
- Click on the tutorial link: “NEW! Click Here For Help With Our Google Hurricane Tracker.”
- Click on “Play” to play the tutorial.
- Be sure to check out the other links in the “Help” section.
AP Images
- AP Images has a “User Reference” guide to help you get started.
- Please go to: http://apimages.accuweather.com/ap_userguide.asp (The link for the “User Reference” guide for AP Images is not currently available on their website.)
- Click on “User Reference.” The above link will take you to a four-page “User Reference” guide which will give you a basic tour of the site along with search tips and information on downloading images.
Atomic Learning
- Login to Atomic Learning.
- Click on the tutorial of your choice on the right hand side of the page in the blue section under “Getting Started.” This is a group of tutorials to help you become familiar with the Atomic Learning site.
- Titles include: Overview, Our Tutorials, Resources, Lesson Accelerators, Workshops, Teacher2Teacher, StoryBoard Pro and Assessment Tools.
iCLIPART For Teachers
- iCLIPART For Teachers has a “Help” page to get you started.
- Login to iCLIPART For Teachers.
- Click on the “Need Help?” link located at the bottom of the homepage screen.
- Topics include: Keyword Searching, Advanced Searching, Browsing Categories, Downloading Images, Downloading Fonts, Opening Images and more.
DE streaming
- Login to your DE streaming teacher account.
- Click on the “DE streaming” tab in the top blue menu bar.
- Click on “Professional Development” in the gray menu bar to the far right to find the following categories of tutorials:
- Click on “Teaching Tips” in the “DE streaming in action” column. These tutorials give “quick” technology tips.
- Click on “Best Practices” under the “Digital Media Integration” column. View short tutorials that profile practicing teachers and strategies for technology integration.
- Click on “Interactive Training” under the “Digital Media Integration” column. View tutorials that show how to use DE streaming.
- Be sure to check out the other links on the Professional Development page.
- Topics include: using Movie Maker to make movies, embedding videos in PowerPoint, using clip art, differentiating activities, closed captioned videos and more.

EBSCOhost
- Login to EBSCOhost.
- Click on the “EBSCO Support Site” button in the green menu bar on the right hand side of the page.
- Click on the “Training” button in the top menu bar.
- Click on “Tutorials.”
- There are a number of tutorials on how to get started using the resource under “EBSCOhost Tutorials.”
- Topics include: Advanced Searching, Basic Searching, Search and Journal Alerts, Personalization Folder and more.
LEARN360
- Login to Learn360 and click on the "Help Center" link or go directly to the "Help Center" at http://www.learn360.com/HelpCenter.aspx
- All the flash tutorials are located on the main page. All of the user guides are located on the right-hand side menu.
SIRS Researcher
- Login to SIRS Researcher.
- Click on SIRS Knowledge Source (Username/Password logon only).
- Click on the “Toolbox” link in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Click on the “Tutorial” link.
- The link will take you to a slideshow (no sound) that will allow you to become familiar with the basics of SIRS Researcher.
- Topics include: Content Offerings, Interface Features and more.
World Book
- World Book Kids
- Login to World Book.
- Click on “World Book Kids.”
- Click on “Online Tutorial” at the bottom of the World Book Kids page.
- This video provides a brief tour of the World Book Kids website.
- World Book Student
- Login to World Book.
- Click on “World Book Student.”
- Click on “Online Tutorial” at the bottom of the World Book Student page.
- The tutorial provides an overview of the features, content, and functionality of World Book Student.
- World Book Advanced
- Login to World Book.
- Click on “World Book Advanced.”
- Click on “Customer Training Guide” at the bottom of the World Book Advanced search page.
- Click on the link to “World Book Web Video Tutorials” on the left hand side of the page in the first column.
- Click on “World Book Advanced” to view the tutorial.
