Iowa AEAs provide the resources available at Iowa AEA Online for all Iowa accredited preK-12 schools in Iowa. The licenses to these products have specific guidelines as to how they can be used and what can be copied. The licenses are for Iowa preK-12 students and teachers only. Sharing the user IDs and/or passwords with unauthorized users may result in the district, school or AEA losing access privileges.

These resources are to be used to support school related assignments and activities. Please have your child follow the guidelines in the "Copyright for Students" document below.

For detailed usage terms & conditions for all resources refer to the "Copyright / Terms & Conditions" button on the Educator section of this website. Note: Parents are permitted to use Atomic Learning.

Image Libraries
Images downloaded from AP Images may only be used for school assignments and not used in publications distributed to audiences beyond students and parents. (Examples: If your school newsletter is published in your local paper you cannot use AP Images photos. You cannot use AP Images photos on a website.) Images from Clipart.com School Edition
can be used for school related projects that are distributed outside the school and for fund raising projects. (Examples: School newsletters distributed to the entire community, t-shirts used as a fund raiser, web pages, etc.)

Student Copyright Guidelines

Students should be aware of their rights and responsibilities as users of copyrighted materials. The student copyright guidelines in the document “BriefNOTES: Copyright for Students” is available for download below to help students make good choices when using copyrighted material in multimedia projects, research papers, presentations, etc. This is a summary of the U.S. copyright law (Title 17) and copyright guidelines. This handout does not constitute legal opinion. It is intended to be a general discussion and not a definitive analysis of copyright.

Brief Notes: Copyright for Students clearly explains copyright law and the importance of ethically using information resources.
